Engineers Why can't I just buy modded weapons and modules?

I will gladly pay CA$$$$$$$$$$$H for Engineer Upgrades and skip this Boring WoW wanna be scavenger hunt.
Even willing to pay a monthly fee for access to exclusive content. FD you guys are throwing away so many opportunities to make more cash its sad.

My time is precious, before the engineers I loved this game, everything was fun even with the bugs. Now its no longer fun.

It's getting a little like WoW, missions were always there, they added mining for mats and groups (wings)

Now with the shield regen laser we have proper instance grouping

FAS - Tank
FDL - DPS
Anaconda bristling with missiles - Ranged DPS
Ship with regen lasers - Healer

Empire = Horde
Federation = Alliance
Alliance = Neutal Pandas before they choose..............

Thargoids = Hordes of the lich king?

No I am not joking I have the money to spend, and my time is precious. Before 2.1 I loved Elite now, well now not so much.

edit: don't forget it would push rebuy costs up, anyone going the current route would be much better off... if they want to invest the time.

Just my opinion, it would be nice to have a choice.

I would have thought that the engineers would have a 2nd hand shop for all their "not quite perfect" attempts of their own.

Would fit with the game and offer up some variety.

- Craft your own
- Buy from engineer

Procedurally generated and whilst "craft your own" receives the fudged "tend towards +ve" roll that FD had to introduce to mask over their double .. no triple RNG nonsense, the "buy from engineer" doesn't have to have that bonus. (That's the penalty you talked about re hefty premium)

Mine too for wasting so much of my life on this forum.

FD are not going to alter how engineers works as they have invested too much time / resources to it. The best we're going to get is an increase in drop rates for materials / reduction in cost at the engineer place itself.

2nd hand shop for pre-crafted (procedurally generated) items .. not going to happen, though most games have such a thing instead of the RNG nonsense. (IE the computer does the RNG part, not the player)

Bob was grinding 24/7 just because he's online all the time...
NPCs don't need to sleep or work or anything else! AND he knows exactly where he has to go to get everything.

You're not alone, dude. I just want to have fun in my favorite game, and having the fun taken out of it so I can grind my ass off to get ON PAR with every other npc.. I dunno. AI is fine, but their ships are not xD
