Why can't we add lazy rivers to existing pool using the customize brush?

When you use the customize brush the lazy river extras are greyed out? I know we can add jets in manually, but then how do I change the strength settings of those? My guests also just try to swim into the jet and then glitch and stay stuck there. Do lazy rivers just not work right now?

Lazy Rivers in real life mostly do not connect to pools, they just exist by themselves as a circular river. There are some exceptions to this. But in the game it seems to not work well if the river is connected to a pool. I'm observing this is mainly when people get the thing about guests swimming against the current. If you have to manually place the jets and change the strength of them, maybe just change the first one and hopefully that setting will stick when you duplicate it to place all of the others?

Do people get on innertubes when riding lazy rivers? I don't think people rode on innertubes in lazy rivers in RCT3. They just kind of swam.

I seen some have the tubes and the ice popsicle inflatables, but not a lot.
