Why can't you cook any update flawlessly?

The lack of Quality Assurance is really on a point where it gets a bit annoying. You are great on implementing stuff, but i feel every update you deliver just 95% and we are talking not off obscure stuff, but obvious things, everyone detects, when they actual try things out. Do you try your own code or are you just balling and hope everything just fits?

Just some annoyances in this update:

Ride Cam: placing a floating object with no snappoint, should actually be a criminal charge! I get it why, you went for a floating camera, hell you even explain in the unlocked stream, that we need to build our own framework. Have you tried building one? Cause there you notice: hm, a snappoint would be nice.

Ride Photos: Planet Coaster basics: Guests use facilities to fullfill your needs. And getting a ride photo would really make a great souvenir. Yeah, guests dont think so as they gain no souvenir needs.

Souvenir Shops: One of the most repeated critical points were: Yeah, your UI is a bit counterintuitve and a clickffest. I guess the UI designer for the gift shops were like hold my beer, i can one up this. The system is really great and really customizable, but also very clicky.

I think I really speak for the community, when we say: Test your stuff, not deep test it, but give your office workers one hour to play with it. And they give you feedback, cause you can't tell me, that this a hard things to find. I really dont demand a big beta test or anything, just make sure you smooth over the obvious stuff.

Cause the addition of ride photos and gift shops were amazing and i really want to give you credit for it, but please stop using as guinea pigs!

I could not agree with you more. For all the great new items being added, they always get overshadowed with all these stupid bugs, flaws, imperfections etc. I still don't think anyone on the team actually plays the game or has a passion to do so.

This is the biggest contrast between PC1 and PC2. Neither had a stellar release, but they are miles apart when it comes to the passion the team have for their product. For PC1, we had frequent dev. blogs, live and recorded streams and after release, a passionate community team playing the game at length on camera weekly. They came across all the bugs reported and had a direct line to the dev. team to fix it (because they did not want to look stupid on camera). None of that exists for PC2. It's like they can't find anyone internally who actually wants to play the game. Every time you see someone playing it, it is like they launched the game for the first time. It doesn't look natural.

It is sad, because there is potential and a lot of good things has been added since release (all that "should", in my opinion, have been in the game from day 1 for it to be a true sequel and successor), but unless you finish the last 5%, those will always overshadow all the great stuff.

For me, the UI is still hell and I am tired of keep having to do millions of click each time I want to do or build something. It is not fun.

The lights (Fairytale and Pirate) can’t be triggered. Why again and again the same issues…
Placed a lot of (very simple to fix) issues at the Issue Tracker last months. The DEV’s don’t look at the Issue Tracker I presume.

Peeps walk/stand in air if you raise the shelfs above path and for example make a wall shelf.
Please make it possible to recolor souviners.

i miss the days prior to update 3 where we could select items, combine to one building group and press "R" to instantly enter that building group and edit it... everything just to many clicks ughhh

Sorry that you are having issues. I guess I am lucky when it comes to new content being added and updates. I have not encountered any issues so far.

Pretty much an old story

After 10 years there's likely not much if any of the original dev team left

Even if there' are a few left, by now they've probably forgotten where all the early kluges are buried

I find it remarkable that at this stage it's still going rather well considering...

It's what some of us were saying again and again... Frontier, testplay your game!

You're not in a position to skip quality control any longer!

We don't want to download updates to check out what new feature isn't working (or not working any longer)...
Yes, I still can't figure out why they don't test-play the game at all. If they did, they would certainly come across most of the major issues we all discuss here fairly quickly. It is like they hate playing the game they are developing, but they also seems to completely ignore feedback and bug repots from us who do play. I have stopped filling out bug reports as they seem to just end up in a black hole. My time is more valuable than wasting it on useless reports.

The issue tracker seems to have been programmed for developers, not for players wanting to report issues easily...

All issues discussed in these forums are hitting nearly everyone. Frontier should have an eye on their own forums. I would advise to use the issue tracker for rare issues, only.

Apparently the On-Ride photos only track 1 train at a time, which is fine when with a shuttle coaster but kinda weird when 2 or more trains are running, especially if they have been customized differently.

You sure about that? For me its working perfectly fine, capturing new photos of each train that goes by. Even on the water coaster its taking photos of my differently colored boats. On the 4 split image its also putting up 4 different boats, so it seems to working for me.

Have you tried cylcing trough open/close/testing and reopening the ride?

What I meant is on coasters with more than one cart per train, there is no option to restrict a billboard to only display photos from one specific train per billboard. While it's fine on shuttle coasters, full circuit coasters with only 1 train, and maybe if the on-ride photo is put near the end of the ride, but if put near the beginning on a ride with 2 or more trains like I sometimes do, the photo is nearly always overridden by the next train before the guests would be able to see it.

For that i would cut a bit of slack, the on ride photo feels for Frontier level very cutting edge, so it is for me ok, to have some minor flaws on this thing, what i am afraid of is that it is again a one and done thing for Frontier.
The on ride cam-technology has a lot of potential, basically giving you pov screens of your park directly into the game. Security and even custom merch comes to mind, but i bet they wont follow up, like they have done with the restaurants.
