Why constantly complaining about the time speed and feeding rate?

Am I the only one who does not have that much of a problem with the time speed and the feeding rate in the Release Version? In my opinion it was in the beta far worse than it is now. 🤨
A slower mode would be nice to have, but I do not think that it is that necessary or that the devs have "broken any promises". I still have time to see the baby animals growing up or bond with my adult animals.
And with the feeding rate, none of my animals died of starving so far and when they did get hungry my zookeper was already refilling the enrichment items or the food bowls. I still can remember the beta, THAT was a bad feeding rate as my animals were constantly hungry and the babies died one by one because they either were not feeded or were to stupid to find the food.

I can not understand why everbody is complaining now, I do have fun with the game as it is and do not have any trouble (except some minor bugs).
So thank you Frontier for this game and keep up the good work. :D

I feel like all of us that want slower speed time would be more than happy if it was an option in the game rather then a change for everyone. That’s the thing that bugs me off, because some people think that this is okay it means that it doesn’t need to be changed. At least give us a compromise! I find it absolutely incredible that a freaking D missing has been acknowledged extremely fast but when it comes to this time issue they all seem def and blind...

A spelling mistake is easy to fix. Speed and time systems are not. You know that. If they get around fixing it, it will take time.

Ive played franchise mode since release time speed and game are much more improved then in beta. Plus ive spent more time with the game paused i hate building with the game running.

Not birth time just general game time. Tapirs was pregnant a year before giving birth whereas beta was 4-5 months

Some people think their personal issue with their game is a broken feature. (not just talking about time)
Tbh, I think the title is actually inviting a certain discussion, on the other hand : Some people have to point their personal issue in every topic.. or create multiple topics. Which leads to topics like this.. or some bad comments..

I was ok if they decided to change features, but with the horrible attitude of some posters in the last couple of days - I hope they never address some of their personal issues with this game. The weird thing is the difference in certain 'issues', when you compare this forum with the steam forum.

That being said, I'm sympathetic to the troubles/frustrations some people are having. My experience with the released game is very good..

I am perfectly fine with everything in the game at the moment, everything is exactly how I feel it would be. I am with the OP, Can we focus on the positive side?? Is there any zoo game close to this one in term of possibility? I don't think so. Human nature have an habit to focus on the negative side. A lot of people are enjoying the game and don't spend time on forums.

Just going to point out that "complaining" is what got us challenge mode. If people hadn't voiced their concerns over only having either Franchise or Sandbox mode, we probably would never have gotten that. People being vocal about an issue that plagues many people isn't inherently bad, nor is pointing out things they view as flaws. Focusing only on the positive isn't going to help a game get better. Period. You need constructive criticism, and you need actual players to voice their concerns.

Should people be doing it in a less hostile way? Yes. But you shouldn't be pointing fingers at people voicing concerns and calling them complainers just because they have an issue you don't.

I have quite a few of my animals starving, also in the campaign. It actually ruins gameplay for me

Try removing the food enrichment items.. Worked in Beta....

I don't have those and every animal (also 20 tortoises) are able to eat properly ! In only have 1 or 2 tray or bowl in every exhibit...
On occassion sometimes a single animal does not eat while the feeder is full... move them to quarantine.. and back to exhibit.
In 20 years that happened 3 or 4 times

Anyway, people have the right to complain, specially when it was explicitly mentioned that the time was speed-up in the beta, but would be slower on release. For me, it’s not being a terrible experience (yet, at least) and I feel there’s enough time for things...although barely.

But it’s a game breaker for so many people, and seeing a great game hindered by this weird design choice breaks my heart. This is the one mistake every review brings up. This is one mistake that have the power or detracting people of buying. I have seen it, several times, first person. So I worry.

But I worry because I love the game and I love Frontier and I want the game to be GREAT. I want DLC, and online support, and eventually a sequel and everything that comes with a successful IP. This won’t happen if the game doesn’t sell well...and unfortunately, the time issue is enough for people to stop buying or returning the game.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m really happy the OP isn’t having problems with the time. But that’s not enough to me to stop feeling this is, indeed, a issue that needs a urgent fix.
