Horizons Why did my pilot go back to the lounge?

G'day,
an annoyance is the fact that if you have taken your pilot from the crew lounge an assigned him/her to your ship, that when you log off and then later log on, your pilot has returned to the lounge.. Not very helpful as you have to return to the lounge to again assign the pilot to your ship.

have you experienced this problem?

That's never happened to me before. Are you sure you might not have loaded a non-SLF capable ship and then gone back to your default one? They will go back to the lounge by default when that happens. Failing that, might be worth logging a ticket if it happens again.

Maybe he was trying to make a point about your flying ? :p

Lightspeed,
ha ha, my flying, it's not that bad.
but an interesting I uncovered point is;
when I dispatch the fighter pilot and tell him to defend, it seems that within several moments I suddenly become wanted, it's not me shooting the wrong person, so it must be the pilot I assigned (deadly).
To check this out I once again flew without assigning a pilot for the fighter, leaving the fighter in it's hanger, and yes no more becoming hostile and wanted.
Am I alone in this happening?

You would do better posting this question in Dangerous Discussion .... more combat pilots with a lot of experience will see it in that forum.

I prefer to instruct the SLF pilot to attack a target, so that I am more in control of what is going on. Instructing to defend sounds useful, but as you found, you can never be sure what he or she makes of that.
