Why did my Type 6 spontaneously combust?

So I have my 100% Type 6 parked outside the Luzutkw (or similar) station in the Manah system.
I receive permission to dock so am on the way to my designated landing pad when for no apparent reason, the temperature suddenly rises and rises, I rushed my landing, managing the safety of docking with 7% hull left.
Paid to have it fully repaired.
Took off and hovered just to see if it would do it again, and it did, the temperature just rose and rose, this time I was facing the wrong way, get a bit flustered, couldn't line it up in time before the ship blew up.
Got a new ship on the insurance, this one was fine.

Am I missing something?

sounds like you activated silent running, if you have it bound to a key i suggest removing it and just using the right side panel to active it.

I just came back to post the same conclusion, I have never used silent running so wasn't expecting it, my thick mechanic fingers must have hit the key when I lowered my landing gear!
That will have to be remapped to the other side of the keyboard.
Good job I hadn't just bought an Anaconda and used up my insurance money!

Espionage is possible in the new patch.
It was me, while you were trading, I entered your ship and turned on silent running.

:)
