Why do I have a bounty in "Pranav Antal"?

I did some powerplay hauling for Hudson last week so that I could claim my pacifier frags today, and when I logged on this afternoon I noticed I had a 11,000 CR bounty in "Pranav Antal". I didn't even know you could get a bounty specific to a power since I've only ever fortified, never undermined. Is that a new feature of C&P?

I remember being interdicted by and eliminating an NPC in the process, but I don't remember the listed faction so maybe it was one of those Utopian Overseers in his employ. But this was purely in Hudson space since I was fortifying (Wolf 867 to be precise after digging through my journal). I never crossed into Pranav Antal's space. I also always make sure NPCs are wanted before firing, so I don't think it was a case of being trigger happy. Besides, I didn't get a bounty in the system in which this went down, only for "Pranav Antal". Is the mere act of firing on a powerplay-related NPC, even if it's in self-defense and even if it's in friendly space, a crime now?

Yup, if you kill a wanted enemy from any PP factions, you get credits for the kill, but a bounty of 11,000CR. Bounty can only be claimed by another PP player in open so not a big deal. You can pay them off at interstellar factors.

Ahh, thanks. I never play in open, so if it's strictly only other players then that's fine. So if I fly up to a station in a system under his control, they're not going to scan and shoot me?

Isn't Pranav that sissy boy Utopian freak?

He probably just has it in for bounty hunters with big brass ones and slaps a bounty all real men who show up in his space?

Maybe?

errrrrr... not

Oh h.ell - how the black hole in the center of the galaxy should I know. :S;)

I paid extra transferring a ship earlier this week because it had a power play bounty. When I parked that shipped they hadn't made the update yet and you couldn't pay them off, although now you can! I'm assuming your ship is considered hot if you have those PP bounties in relation to transfers and modules, so might want to keep that in mind.
