Why do I have a permit to Beta Hydri at Recruit Rank?

There was CG in Beta Hydri in March last year, Frontier hands out permits for the systems and sometimes they never revoke them after it completes... Achenar was another example.
Can't for the life of me remember if Frontier did decide to hand out that permit, but it's a possibility.

Naah not quite, I got it also and I hit the rank back in 2014. I never went there , and I dont think I have missed out, I cant remmeber but I dont think CG's were in 2014 like. So I have not got a clue, which is not first time

If you got the rank for it, Chief Petty Officer for the Federation, then they give you the permit with no need to go there.
I'm confused now.
Are you thinking I'm saying you need CGs for permits? That's not what I am saying. When a CG is hosted in a permit locked system Frontier gives out permits to everyone so they can take part. That doesn't mean you can't get permits the traditional way.

No no no, I am saying , because you brought it up, that I started to wonder too : Why ? Why did I get it? I dont know...
I know I got Summerland through CG, and that's it.
