Why do they take away stuff every time they add stuff?

I wish they would stop all development of ED, and give us an offline version of the game prior to this last joke of an update and leave us the hell alone.

The Challenger is unappealing, I like the Krait but it does nothing better than what I already had.

So for the pleasure of these two ships, they have removed satellites that we could scan for high grade engineering stuff, and they have reduced the VIP passenger transports to being a rare occurrence, and the Gal map seems screwed up in VR.

I have been motivated and have been so happy with the game for a while now working on my combat rank, thinking I might actually be elite in combat some day, but I doubt I will, because I am sick of them breaking the game by always nerfing, removing, fixing crap.

FD is 1000,000,000 worse than Walmart.

Walmart stocks something long enough for you to buy it once, you fall in love with it, go back and it has been discontinued.

FD does the same thing in Elite, they finally have the game to where you love it, then they jerk the rug out from under your feet with so called improvements and updates.

Have to interject right there, mate. It's not what the game is and it isn't going to happen. Not saying it's for the better or worse one way or the other as there is a fair bit of conjecture both ways, and we all want our own things for the game. I'm just being a realist here. That's not the game Frontier are making here. Accept it and move on.

Ranking up to Elite is an arbitrary number save for getting to Jamison Memorial. That's nice for easy outfitting, but beyond that it doesn't hold much weight for the game nor your preferred play styles in general. My advice there is to play the game for what it has to offer you and for what enjoyment you get out of it, not for rank nor progress in the game overall as it is generally defined.

Yes it is, they have stated that when they stop development they will offer the game offline, I know it will be different, but at least they will not be letting you play for months or a year, then jerking the rug from under your feet.

Two days ago we had a great game, today we have two new ships and piece of crap broken game.

This is what FD does with ED, they're like "well, we gave the two newest most awesome ships in the known world of vieo games, 45 million credits is too simple, we must make them pay in blood by removing the only sure way to find a rare high grade material needed for some engineering, and we take away a way for them to earn rebuy credits."

More specifics here would be helpful for constructive feedback. Give us the specifics as best you can, and maybe Frontier will be able to address it.
 
Triple Elite is just a personal goal, I am almost there in combat and trade, already there in trade.

Play the game how I enjoy?

I get bored after a few months of fighting, and now they have removed my 2nd greatest joy in the whole game. Plus they have removed about the only surefire way of finding a certasin mat or two, can't let a dman thing in ED be reliable, or simple.

They are not just at Evans Port to Vela Dock, they are all over, and to make good money you just have to find any system with a station very far from it's main star.

I spent hours looking for the missions at several stations in different systems with those parameters that I have found on my own and have made good money at and it is now very rare to find a high paying VIP transport mission.

They are still there, but you have to spend a lot of time, and I mean a lot to find more than one or two, and by the time you find two you have to be on your way or fail from running out of time.

Outside of Evans Port in the Parutis system there were always two satellites you could target and scan for high grade engineering mats, they are gone.

And a friend has asked this: "I just went to a handful of shipyards and various installations and there were no satellites at all. Were they all removed?

It's freaken impossible to find Adaptive Encryptor Captures or any data that can be traded for it. What gives????, along with several other methods of getting mats."

Him, myself and many others cannot find any of those anywhere.

Why in the hell would FD nerf the only way to find certain mats without having to trade for them with the ridiculous trading system?

I'ts a kind of problem with the server or the entity that calculate the BGS and make the missions.
This problem ALWAYS happen when the server comes back from a weekly maintence for exemple, you will try to find lucrative and good missions to one spot but the system will generate only crap missions to systems far away from the current system.

Normally, pre-Beyond the servers take 3-5 hours after the restart to start to populate the boards with the right missions, pos beyond this time have increased alot - somewhere 12-24 hours and now post 2.1 we are running 3 days with the mission generator broken.

If you go to Parutis right now and spend 40+ minutes swithing modes you will find eventually a mission to MEDB - But you will see that pattern: Lot of useless missions to another systems, sometimes systems FAR away from the current system - this is the bug i've reported in this video:

I'ts not a Boom problem too: 3 factions in there are in boom.

Usually this kind of problem happens every week after the weekly maintence - but now i'ts persistent and across the galaxy - Boards not refreshing and when they refresh they generate non-sense missions to weird systems instead of focusing on the near systems.
Also you can check that the COLONIA and FAR away missions are back and filling too much slots on the board.

I don't know if this is intended or some kind of a BUG - I belive they are using some of the server capabilitys to run a "Intern BETA" of the new version - causing this isues on the main server - But this is only a guess!"

I have noticed many of those things too, and I had a mission or two, sometimes three to Colonia on almost ever page, evn a mission to fo 4 million Ls's away from the main star.

It is crazy.

Im sorry but.I dont see how what you described doesn't fit that description. Let alone the fact that the Developers have branded it has an issue specifically caused by this update that they need to work on.

Not that Im disagreeing with your main point at all, just the first sentence, cause I like being hung up on sinematics. This is totally what happens and is happening. And it will probably happen again.

You seem to think that developing a huge space sim project like this, with all the rich detail, is just like a careless walk in the park.

If you think that the update caused problems in certain areas, then be so kind to report them, as you might be the only one to have noticed them so far.
I think that would be more productive than whine-ranting on the forums and throwing around insults.

You are right, i'ts a bug, im just trying to explain that is not a bug just with passenger missions, neighter a bug that happens only on one system.

Just trying to explain that im chasing those weird mission server issues since they started to happen =D
Maybe there is to many variables on the mission generator now? she or he seems to be very overloaded.

The game will be offered as it is now, a server and client, so that it will be needed to be hosted on someone's server for the client to connect to.

It is still broken as far as missions, so I cannot play how I want, and will not be forced to do anything else in the game right now just so I can play it until it is fixed.

Combat rank comes naturally to you assuming you do not prey on the week, you're only going to get worthwhile XP for killing top ranked ships.

That is what I do, I fight at a CNB and kill Deadly and Elite ships, single, in wings, whatever.
 
What about the satellites?
I dropped into an installation POI last night and it had a satellite which I could scan for data as usual.

(I wouldn't describe the "Specialised Legacy Firmware" I got as high-grade material, but I never got much better than G2 materials off satellites in 3.0 so I don't think that's changed now)
