Kinectimals Why do we have to select storage device?

This isn't specific to Kinectimals, but still a pet peeve with this great game...

Each time my kids want to play they have to select a storage device and we only have one options [hard drive]. Many games have this annoying problem, but some recognize that there is only ONE storage device attached and default to it. Would someone from Frontier please share with me the reason why it was decided to require each profile to choose a storage device each and everytime you sign in when there is ONLY ONE storage device ever attached?

Better yet, is there anyway this can be "fixed"? It would certainly make this game a whole lot easier for my 3 & 4 year old (and some day my 14 month old) to start.

I don't have a very good reply for you I'm afraid, and I am weary of phrasing myself poorly. It is one of those behaviours (of a game) where people who debate the issue are very strongly attached to their preference on how it should work. That in turn means that what you see is a reflection of how someone sufficiently high up (to make the decision) decided that he/she felt it should work. Which also is the explanation why other games do it differently: they had a different person who got to make the decision.

There is also no way to fix it other than via a new patch for the game. If we had reason to do another patch then we could look at the issue again, but see above so to say... it would require some people to have changed their minds.

At least it isn't a conspiracy, just an honest difference of opinions

Thanks for the reply. I figured something along those lines (unfortunately). I'll keep looking for a bug that might require a patch and hope for the best
