Why does inside of viper look heavily scratched?

Did anyone else notice this? Its a new ship and it shouldn't be scratched inside, the orange paint seems to be coming off inside cockpit.

all these ships are hundreds of years old i think they are mostly refurbished ships you get maybe handmedowns from the navies? the fighters anyways...
