Newcomer / Intro Why does it sometimes take so long to be 'connected'?

When I log in, the client has this on the bottom left:

Server 54.78.236.214:19364 [unconnected]

Should I wait and will eventually get in, or should I log out and try again? It seems to me that if it doesn't connect in a few seconds, it never will.

Sometimes it might be FD, sometimes your ISP being slow, sometimes...well, anything! Do turn-off any ISP proxy server stuff, if you can.

I had this last night, looked in options, came-back and it connected. Just have to be patient sometimes.
