Why does the AI do nothing about the trash here?

I wouldn't think it would go as far as "attractiveness" to guests as to whether or not they would use it. That would really go too far.
No, I was more meaning that there might have been a discernible difference between what the game considers "trash" and "recycling" but I doubt it.

The game doesn't differentiate between garbage and recyclable trash but I've heard that using the green bins instead of other trash bins provides the occasional CC credit in franchise (I haven't noticed as I rarely play franchise anymore).

That is... Conservation Credit?... - But if it does, that would be one of those tiny details you'd never get told about by the game.
I simply used those bright green ones as they're the only ones besides the blue "Planet Zoo"-themed ones available at the start.

Yes, sorry, cc = conservation credits. And I haven't tested that myself so I'm not positive it's true.

The issue with trash could be solved if trash bins could be tagged in a workzone like facilities...
Yes, I was thinking this as well, so that Caretakers have more objectives to check off.
However, it wouldn't really be all that necessary if they were just programmed to know of the existence of all bins.
They might be, I'm not sure, it's either that or they only get triggered when a bin is within a certain radius of them (which I bet is the case), but then I'm not sure if perhaps their attention to them improves with more training. - That would be nice...
Otherwise, yes, if it would improve the management of bins, I'd also like to see the ability to just select them in Work Zones. This feature already exists anyway and I find it to be underutilized in terms of things you can select.

Try placing a bin roughly every like 10 tiles, or placing bins in high traffic zones and near seating areas and areas where they eat or view things.

Yea, good points. - I started to get more of an idea of how to manage it better without placing a whole load of bins.
I think in that particular case (while it's still kinda egregious in how the AI behaves) it was a bit too early on in the park and just too many people passed there over time. - Plus, that also makes it so you don't really get enough of an infrastructure to really have enough variety, like guests spreading out and such.
It's just that, why would they do that on a not very long path that's basically bookended by bins... - Come on, don't be like that, AI. 😋
