It is still behind the power play screen, like the left and right screens.

It's actually pretty well done since if you are overheating (after fuel scooping to long that start) you here the alarm in the background, and if you are pulled out of supercruise, the PowerPlay screen closed...

Thats an easy one. Because the power play screen is in front of the cockpit...?

I wish the pp screen, galaxy map, and system map would all be inside the side menus instead of taking up the whole screen. Muh immersion....

Agreed, completely ruins immersion in the rift. Whole thing takes up the screen and you cannot see the cockpit no mater how you move your head.

None of the other screens do it !

The commodites market shows up on the hud, as does the bbs, comms screen etc...

I thought that was the point to make you always remember that you are sat in a cockpit, removing the cockpit breaks the immersion and makes you immediately realise that its just a game !
