Why does the Game count the Floor only as Climbing-Area even though there is a lot of Space for the Gorilla to walk?

I've built this so the Gorillas have more Space in the Indoor-Enclosure but for some Reason the Game only sees it as Climbing-Area.

Edit : and can a single Animal be bugged? The Game is crashing a lot today but only if I watch the Gorilla I'm using to test the Enclosure. Should I release him to the Wild? I don't want to sell him to another Player because I fear the same Thing would happen in the other Players Zoo. I hope I don't need to do it. I really like this Gorilla for some Reason. Maybe because he is the first Gorilla that lives in my Zoo since a relatively long Time.

The game simply does not care at all how much space there is to run around. If you build anything off the ground, even the most even area to walk on, out of elements with the "climbable" property it will count as climbing area, and for some animals with a large demand of climbing area that's actually pretty helpful.

I was able to change it into a normal walkable Area trough copying the Rope-Net that is on the lower Floor and place it inside of the Floor. For some Reason I didn't even need to cover the whole Inside of it.
Now I only need to find out if there is a Possibility to keep my favorite Gorilla without the Game crashing every time I watch him

I think if you use building pieces (floors/roofs) instead of habitat pieces it will color blue as traversable.

I guess this is fully compiled of habitat/climbable pieces?

It isn't a Piece for Enclosures. It's a climbable Building-Piece. The Floor under it didn't have the Problem because it was a normal Floor-Piece.
But as I already wrote, I've found a Solution for the Problem. At least until we get a Update that finally makes Ropes climbable. I think then I need to put another Part into the Floor that isn't climbable

It sounds like you found a solution incidentally, but here's my understanding which might help the general case of trying to get walkable vs climable area on flat, climable objects.

In my experience I am not certain if there is a clear rule but I believe that this sort of area will probably not register as walkable unless you can walk on to/off of the area, from a non-climbable surface. If you must climb to reach a surface, then as far as the game is concerned, while you are up there it usually also counts as climbing and not walking.

So, if you want to make a surface walkable, adding a non-climbable surface level with it like you did with those ropes allows the game to register that you could walk from the non-climbing (but walkable) area onto the other area, and therefore it is now all walkable. Another thing that should work would be something like providing a walkable (according to the heat map) ramp from the ground made from almost anything (construction pieces like roofs, enclosure pieces, climbable or non-climbable pieces, etc). I sometimes find making a slope from the ground to a climbable piece I want have a walking surface on a little difficult, as the game can be quite picky as to what the animal can or cannot "walk" over, and where climbing must begin. Small ledges, gaps, angle changes, or not-perfectly-level areas in the walkable floor may or may not disrupt the walkable area on the heat map, so I use it constantly when I'm trying to get something to also register as a walkable floor, whether it is climbable or not.
