why does the mission board take so long to load?

Hello,

Very frustrating. I have fibre at 250gb 250Mb (oops) and great ping times and still takes at least 30 seconds if not more. Ok, that doesn't sound that long when you read it but staring at a spinning circle it seems very long! What is the reason for it?

The answer is very easy.
As soon as you start the Missionboard* you are activating the game internal mind reader.
Till it reads out your wishes - send it to ED, where they have to calculate what you don't want, that takes it time.
Sometimes it is as simple as it looks [yesnod]

*it is the same when you are mining for Palladium - no Palladium around, just Painite, Platin, Gold.

Why can't the mission board start loading when you pop in to the instance at a station? Then when you actually pull it up while docked, it pops right up?

Because 3.1 is coming...? Ive also noticed the forum a little slower. (might just be me)
I wonder if the preparation for any beta takes a small bite out of the games Backend.
The last few updates/beta's ive noticed a drop in mission board response time (amoung other things).
