Why does the trade routes map give fake data?

Why does the in game trade routes map say that a system exports imperial slaves to another system, when that system actually lists them as illegal and does not even have a black market?
Is it because the map is very well programmed?

Does the system have more than 1 station? Different stations under different factions can have different prohibited items.

There are some bugs with the trade data, that is clear. I'm sure FD are aware of this. However, you can work around this yourself by simply visiting stations and seeing what they buy/sell and for how much.

Also it depends on who the system's ruling faction is, and what their station prohibits. Other stations in the system can be less prohibitive.

Not sure what you mean by not having a black market. You can't buy anything from it, so that wouldn't cause it to show up for export data.

Care to share which system you found is like this so we can verify?

The galaxy map trade data is forever misleading me, sending me to places that don't even list the commodity they supposedly import at any of their stations. So these days I only use this:

It never lies.

the lines drawn are ai traders? and not necessarly player routes?

That would make no sense. There's absolutely no meaning in having a trade route exclusive to AI then letting players know about it through the galaxy map, only to find they cannot either influence or participate in that trade route. The trade routes graphic should be far more reliably accurate than it is, like broad brush strokes of where to go locally without granularity or depth. Instead they're just like somebody splatter painting then pretending there's a colour code to it all.

I've had the same on the trade screen, sat in a station, see a commodity that has high supply and it says on the right pane 'exported to (insert several system names)'

Fill up my hold with some, travel to one of the systems, visit the stations there and they're not interested in my goodies :(

When you purchase trade data and view the trade route arrows they tend to be accurate IMO. This does not guarantee good profit, though.
The actual trade commodity export and import descriptions are not very accurate, I don't believe that they benefit from dynamic update.

Because the data isn't just information of trader route of NPC. They also show CMDR doing they trade and CMDR smugglers are more dearing and smart than NPC. lol

I have seen a trade route showing what appeared to be a perfectly reasonable one shipping gold from an extraction to a terraforming only to find that gold is being bought at a far cheaper price than it is being sold for at its source. In this case I believe the anomaly was cause by a secondary extraction component to the terraforing system economy which as the platform in question (the extraction one) didn't have a commodities market it didn't show on the trade data.
