So why doesnt HMD Headphones setting put the sound in the rift ?
Many other titles, when they find the rift (CV1), they redirect the sound to the integrated headset. ED has the option, why doesn't it work? and why have the option if it does nothing?

Agreed, other Oculus games do this for you, but there's a few exceptions. I've noted it doesn't automatically push to Oculus Headphones in Blazerush and ED. Would be good to have some consistency.
That setting is a legacy setting from dk2 which had no headphones and was used for those with surround speakers. It moved the sound source as the user moved their head. I don't think it has anything to do with the rift headphones. It does need to be updated.
