It's the 34th century, we're lucky they even speak in a dialect we can understand. Choice of titles is open to interpretation, they could have easily renamed all of them to nonsense words and had it make as much in-universe sense.

This is funny situation knowing that FD is actually from England. Maybe they reserved it for future updates DLCs?

I heard, somewhere, that "Earl" was chosen instead of "Count" in England after Duke William took over, because the latter made the locals snigger. Probably just an infamous lie. But the wife of an earl is a countess.

Marquess, Duke, Archduke, and Prince may yet become available, one hopes. We need more progression in Federation as well, not to mention Alliance where there is none.
