I still don't have a Mac..

Apparently owning a mac is a 'lifestyle' choice a aspirational product. Well that's what the guy in the Apple store. That and I would make million from writing 'Apps'.

If anyone can give me a good reason why I should get a mac or ipad iPhone I'm all ears..

There are several reasons:
1) You can write iphone/ipad software on it and then release it to App store (PC's cant do this because of Apples faffing with the store last time I checked)

2) Makes a good doorstop

3) Format to windows and makes a nice server setup for simple stuff like webhosting

I have a pc which for price/performance ratio cannot be beaten.

If I wanted to add to the gazillion of apps out there that no one wants to pay for I can develop in Android.

Yes I have noticed a few people sitting in cafés with an Apple mac. Exactly what they are doing with it is anyone guess. I also notice they will only interact with other mac users.

Effectively Ive been told I need 1 mac laptop a desktop ipad iPhone a games console a spare phone..

I think that he's crazy. In France he declared that it is impossible to live without an iPhone
