Horizons Why even offer jobs to locked-down systems?......

Unfortunately, I am learning the hard way that one of the penalties for falling below the learning curve of this game is useless grinding. Yesterday I took three jobs to systems that I didn't realize were in lockdown. I understand, those are the breaks, you live and learn, yeah yeah yeah...

My question is, why even offer jobs to these systems in the first place? And why send delivery changes saying that the patron wants it there FASTER? The game spares no notice telling you that your trade rank may not be high enough, why not a little notice on the job acceptance board that says: ! SYSTEM IS IN LOCKDOWN. Yeah I realize that the information is out there (on the Galaxy Map). But why offer it at all. It just seems kind of cheap and trap-y for those of us who have limited opportunities to play the game and learn all the vagaries of the extensive ruleset? Shoot, before this experience, I had no idea what the implications of lockdown were. Not complaining, just genuinely curious.

I really like the game, but I feel that maybe more extensive tutorials by FD specifically, may help the newbies and casuals get more enjoyment out of what is an amazing game really.

This is something that sneaked in after the Background Simulator changes. You have a very good point.

I would submit the mission as a bug report, as those missions ought to have a new theatre. Pretty sure the Devs don't want undoable missions, no matter the reason.

Locked down systems don't stay in lockdown forever, and you can check the galaxy map to see the system state before you take the mission.

Doesn't mean that the system won't go into lock down after you accept the mission. Nor does it mean that you won't be redirected to a system in lockdown.

To be fair though, this evening I stacked loads of missions, and never had any problems with any of them.

It's probably different teams working on BGS and the Missions system, hence the gaps.

Lockdown systems should really have a lot of smuggling missions - but without a Mission Board to hand them in that wouldn't make any difference.
