Why FD doesn't release information sooner

Personally I find it kinda funny that people feel entitled to know the roadmap/long term plans for a game they spent £35 on (excluding kickstart pledges).

Apple don't provide me with future plans for the £600 iPhone I have in my pocket, nor do they give me advance notice or consult me on future iOS features. Surely the two 970 cards sitting in my machine entitles me to some inside information from NVIDIA. I play The Division and I haven't seen any plans from them either. Even their season pass details is just a title with no meat or details.

It's not in FD's (or any games studios) interest to share long terms plans. 1) plans change and things become harder to implement or just turn out to be a bad idea once they start testing. 2) why tell your competitors your plans so they get to cherry pick all the great features and implement them too.

Personally, I think FD do a good job with communication. Weekly newsletters, dev updates, lifestreams etc.

Sorry guys and girls but we really don't need another thread on FD and their communications.

Closing.
