EL Tio 3 E A
A rocky body in the Empire. 0.05G with silicate vapor geysers. What's so good about this moon?
Sulphur 22.2%
Iron 19.6%
Carbon 18.7%
Nickel 14.9%
Phosphorus 12.0%
SRV Synthesis
Plenty of Sulphur and Phosphorus for SRV refuel and ammo restock. Plenty of Iron and Nickel for SRV repair although currently docking with the ship also repairs the SRV.
Selenium 3.5%
Arsenic 2.9%
Zirconium 2.3%
Cadmium 1.5%
Antimony 1.4%
Tungsten 1.1%
This is the good stuff! These are all very good percentages for the bubble. With 22 geological sites I hit 5 and picked up 45 Antimony (HD shield boosters) and 35 Arsenic (FSD) plus maxing out some of the others. Note per the RNG Arsenic shares geological hits with other materials. Antimony per a "Needle" hit always works. Run around in an SRV not using a geological site and the Arsenic will do better but dealing with other low grade materials one may or might not need.
Need something else? Pick another moon. Chromium, Germanium, Manganese, Mercury, Molybdenum, Nobium, Ruthenium, Technetium, Tellurium, Tin, Vanadium, Yttrium and Zinc are all here with good percentages. Don't get me started with 5 ringed planets and their possibilities for mining with the most remote at 3712LS with lots of resource extraction sites. Add in finding 3 HGEs when I was bored with the SRV. I maxed out my Imperial Shielding and a few others.
Add in Rosenberg Base on EL TIO 3 E (0.16G with full facilities less shipyard) and outpost Kludze Dock (commodities/refueling/no repair) to keep your ship in the game. When looking for materials per a player's goal this is a good one to bookmark.
Others have great material sites? Many years playing ED I've never seen any players draining the resources. The only problem is PvP players looking for a kill now that many might want to go there. If one goes in Open play then that was your decision.

I'm off to add 12,000 MJ to my trading/passenger Cutter's shields as well as already have other improvements dealing with the worst in Open play. I already have engineered weapons. Pointe defense takes care of missiles. I don't bother with ECM for torpedoes. I like shooting torpedoes while flying backwards at extreme speeds. They are so slow. Yes, my "Crimes against me is always on". See you in the black.
