Why has the Community Manager virtually abandoned the forums?

Maybe some kind of Marker FDEV can drop in that makes it clear that they are actually reading/listening and monitoring a particular thread/discussion.

Obviously, getting some updated info would be much preferred, but knowing that the powers at be are actually reading what is being posted would be something we don't have at the moment.

It was considered enabling the who have read thread feature to all, but was decided against as it realtime rendered the data rather delay-updating things (would cause extensive server load issues on the forums).

And the beigeification? Those examples are cool but I have no idea if you guys answered any of them because I don't follow them at all past the odd comment. They represent aspects of the game I have zero interest in ergo I don't take part in them at all. Why would I?

That aside, the beigeification issue has been ongoing fer nearly a year with only a 5 month old comment from someone who doesn't even do the same job...either quit, fired I really don't know...that's not relevant but the topic which has remained unanswered isn't gonna go away. So why no response?

It's a known issue, and it's in the hands of QA / Engineering to work on. I've nothing more to state on that particular issue.

So it's likely that they are aiming for 2.4. Now they could tell us that they are aiming for 2.4, but if they don't manage to implement it people will be disappointed.

But people are already disappointed, what have they got to lose, at least we will then know one way or another they 'are/are not' making efforts to sort it. The wall of silence just fuels the fire that it's such a low priority it's not even worth talking about.

edit: ninjad by Brett :)

Thanks Brett. Could a QA guy then give us an update? Or are you stating that work has not been yet begun on a fix for the issue?

Not to be the "always positive" one but I have definitely seen a much greater level of developer interaction on the PS4 forums in the past month or two: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/forumdisplay.php/148-PlayStation-4

6 threads with Dev posts on page 1
1 threads with Dev posts on page 2
7 threads with Dev posts on page 3

It's almost like they just had a release over there or something... :D

And yeah, more is always nice, but this post probably not the best way to go about it. Personally I'd like a weekly/monthly poll of "subjects the players want a post on" so we can source the most desired information (say the top 10).

This could be anything from "Engineer exploit fix information" to "Beige planets" to "Can we hear more about 2.4" etc. Obviously some will be 1 line answers with "soon(tm)" or whatever but it'd be a nice way for the CM team to take the key questions etc to the team and come back with answers.

Just because we don't post in every thread, doesn't mean we don't care.

And even though some people are raising some issues here, doesn't mean we don't appreciate the community team (and the mods!) as well :)
