But I guess writing to customers is like writing to your boss or professor, it's graded @_@
mm some NPCs do actually use a kind of filfthy language and wrong grammar, specially pirates. I always thought that was on purpose.

It's authentic, not everyone can spell crectly. Why should npcs be any different?
Had the same thought. Looks like something you'd see from a human.
He's a pirate, why would you be expecting any different. Take a small sample here on the forum to see what the target market is.
That poor NPC was trying to type a message while on fire, under fire and stressed. That's all!

Dear FD - stop using programmers to write text for stories and characters. Your voice acting stuff is awesome, the text... Not so much.
Considering the extremely high levels of quality when it comes to audio and video in this game, I'd like to think that similar high standards for the written word would be relatively easy to maintain.
Having said that, the NPC is also typing, and perhaps is also useless with grammar, or could be a Pand native, where English is a distant third language...

OMG, as a none-native English speaker I needed a few seconds to get that. But than I had to burst out in laughter. *Sigh*, that's why I love this language, or perhaps languages in general. I know only two.
No need to quit. Just kill those NPCs that aren't up to your spelling standard. Things will slowly improve (according to Darwin).

so imoprtant that we won a war WW2 with long range communication that contained NO Grammar how did we ever understand anything ?Grammar is important, " ," even more so

I saw AI traffic controllers attack player skills via voice comms, why not a few typos in chat comms? It is indeed full immersion
