Read First Why I will play 'all' and why I think you should too

*We* know that - others may not have read the available literature sufficiently before buying in and now feel somewhat aggrieved that their preferred play-style can be easily subverted by players opting to move out to solo-online or private groups....

Oh boy, I do feel sorry for them, imagine putting on a blindfold to go buying a car.

Then finding out you've ended up with a Blue Lotus Esprit, when you really wanted another old, clapped out mini metro like you'd been driving for years.

In which case sucks to be them IMO. You should never punish the people who ponied up money for doing their homework by changing the rules for those who didnt . I tried to be polite earlier on in the thread but ultmately I think this is what it boils down to.

I think I'd worry about their lack of creativity...there will be whole new ways to subvert the game....

The mechanisms to subvert the game are all there...

But FDev have unlike some, retained control of the game. Anything detrimental to the game can be undone or balanced at "the stroke of a pen".

That means I'll be most probably in the All Player with drops to Group/SP online when I'm feeling particularly grumpy.

Unless the game changes direction then SP offline.

So what are you arguing....now you've moved the goalposts again; will NPCs be able to match human players on the field in combat? If so, you really have little to worry about...Outside of the field of combat it probably matters little whether we are all playing in our own little bubbles or in one mass bubble.

So is it the 'unfairness' of players being able to avoid other players on the field of combat that you are worried about or is it something else that is vexing you?

Field of combat is not worrying me at all. But tell you what - when you get interdicted three times in a row by the same pirate crew, with their buddies waiting for you in front of the station and some following your hyperspace trail through six jumps, we'll talk again about how NPCs are just as challenging as real players. :)
