CQC Why is Elite: Dangerous: Arena still an option?

I thought it was replaced with CQC?

Remove it from the initial start-up menu. Having it in the main menu is more than enough. [where is it]

Because there are still people with accounts which only have that - you can't buy it standalone any more, but they didn't automatically upgrade everyone who did. So that launcher option needs to be there for people who only have that option.

So wait. Stop for a second. I can't get my head around this.

FD tries to sell Arena/CQC as a stand alone cash grab. The 50+ people who actually buy it enter the lobby and stare at the empty lobby for 15 minutes wondering what the helvetica is going on and exit the game never to return.

Why not give these unlucky punters the full Horizons edition as a BIG "we're truly sorry for taking your cash with this nonsense, please come play the main game with us" apology?

Unless!... Unless Frontier wants to keep this horrendous cash grabbing mistake on the launcher for all to see as an ever present reminder of what never to do again? EVER!?

Wow. Mind blown. FD certainly has the minerals.

I'm guessing you haven't tried to play recently? I've had no problem getting games this week - evening UK time seems a good time for other players to be online. There is a place for CQC, even if you don't personally like it. :)

I don't mind CQC from the main menu. :) I mind Arena from the launcher. :) Oh well.
