This is roughly what the Orion Nebula Looks like to the Naked Human Eye. That is assuming you have healthy young eyes, and haven't had any alcohol or looked at any bright lights in the last 30 minutes. You would have to look at it out of the corner of your eye (using averted vision) and do this for about 15-20 seconds until you were sure you were seeing something. In most cases it would look much less colorful and much dimmer than this, assuming you could see it at all:
The whole idea of space being filled with rainbow coloured nebula and dust clouds is almost as bad as the idea that "the visual language" of space is lens flares and glare.
