Why is the Horizons beta still on sale on the Frontier store?

Perhaps this is a stupid question... but why is the beta for Horizons still being sold on Frontiers store? Initially this was so that you can play Horizons early, but now Horizons is out... so... Is this for future beta access? If so, then it sounds bloody expensive - all things considered.

Not all of Horizons is out yet. So, I'm guessing it gives you beta access for the year? Value is in the eye of the purchaser. Don't buy it if you don't think it's worth it. It is really that simple.

The beta purchase allows you to partake in patch beta testing. As said above value is pretty relative.

And i am not sure about that, but i think if you buy Horizons beta you also get access to the all black paint jobs, which in my opinion are the best in game.

Simply because you don't have the content you paid for so far...

I suppose it will stay in Early Access until all content is delivered.

I missed the black friday paintjob deal

is it possible to upgrade the regular horizon to beta horizon?

Like i said i am not sure about that, better to check before you buy it. Open a ticket and ask before you buy, it's the safest way.

There is still plenty to come out from Horizons this year, at least a few more major updates with crafting and loot mechanics, launchable ship and carrier ship mechanics, multi-crew mechanics, avatar creation systems. Most of those will probably have a beta period of their own for a few weeks.

I believe Horizons beta gives you access to those too.
