Why is the Sun in Southern Hemisphere neglected?

This may be a bit of odd problem and it is not something game breaking, but why is the Sun wrong in the Southern Hemisphere?
We all know that the Sun rises in the East and sets in the West, but the general direction of the Sun varies with hemisphere. In the Northern hemisphere the sun will be in a Southward direction, but this is the opposite in the Southern Hemisphere, with the sun being in a Northward direction. This is not the case in Planet Zoo where regardless of hemisphere the sun is always in the South. If the game were realistic our South American, Oceanian and even some South East Asian and African maps should have the Sun either on the other side of the map or have East and West swapped around, so it's actually the Southern hemisphere.
I'm sure some other people from the Southern hemisphere have noticed this as well and were mildly annoyed with it. It seems that the Northern hemisphere often forgets the other half of the planet experiences things differently. It's always: "coming this fall" or "summer sale!", (going on a bit of a rant here) but the entire other half of the planet is in the exact opposite season so using these hemisphere exclusive terms isn't exactly inclusive. I understand why this happens though, most people live in the Northern hemisphere and these are all set up by people that live in the Northern hemisphere, but it definitely falls under the "mildly infuriating" category for anyone in the Southern hemisphere (well for me anyway).
So I think a great change for the game would be to either switch East and West or change the main direction of the Sun (North to South) to properly incorporate the Southern hemisphere. Maybe have Oceania set to this kind of Sun by default and have the player be able to choose between the two for South America, Africa and South East Asia.
Again this isn't anything game breaking, just mildly infuriating and I'm sure it would be greatly appreciated if a Sun accurate to both hemispheres was incorporated into the game.

I've never thought about the sun position in the southern hemisphere 😅. As you say, most of the game developers are in the Northern hemisphere and maybe no-one has thought about that while creating the game 🙈

Huh, that’s funny. I live in Australia and I’d never noticed it before, but you’re right, the shadows are backwards. I guess I’m used to that too from a lot of American and British TV!

As I've always lived in the nrthern hemisphere, this issue has never crossed my mind. However, even when building zoos based in Europe, it is unquestionable that the direction of sunlight has always been a key factor when I had to design enclosures and buildings, and that it must always be taken into account. I hope Frontier contemplates some option to edit the way the light moves in the future, meeting the demands Mealie has made about the southern hemisphere aswell. (y)
