Why is this an "escape"?

For some reason the ostrich has "escaped", what could be the issue? This is the second escape alert on this corner.

I've had this happen a bunch of times too, and heard about it alot here on the forums; animals escaping while still in the habitat. It's a bug and hopefully one that will be adressed soon, along with the bog of animals actually escaping thru solid walls

I get it all the time. Flamingo and antelope are the worse for me. I ended up changing my barriers to be a little away from path. Seems to help a little

For me ostriches and warthogs are most common when escaping. Even "escaping" without leaving the habitat.
Hippos and large animals were an issue a while ago

Replacing glass panels for solid pieces with a window worked for me most times.
And moving stuff helps. Moving the heaters near the wall or the sprinkler is something to try. (or selling and placing a new one)

OK, so I see what is happening.. the ostrich runs right through the barrier. Really wish this gets fixed in the next update.I may have to shelve the game due to the constant issues. Not that it matters, Frontier already has my money.

Had another "escape"... seriously. I am wondering if it has to do with pathing being regenerated every single time you enter the zoo. There is a staff path not far from the wall. Time to relocate a path I guess, just what I wanted to do... instead of actually planting down new things I want to spend time with huge bugs.

What does the traversable area show for this baby ostrich? (adults and babies have differences in traversable area due to size, a habitat suitable for adults is probably not suitable for babies).

Even the smallest unnoticable gap is able to create "issues" with babies.

I also had that message with a Gharial's tail that was sticking out of the habitat.

I will have to look when I get home again.

BUT this was happening today with multiple giraffes 15 meters from the barrier. This doesn't happen all the time which is why I think its related to the unacknowledged path regeneration that happens everytime many people enter a zoo.

So I forgot I had quit just because I didn't want to deal with it.. so this is the giraffe "escape"

Move the tree in the background a bit further from the barrier. I've had the similar problem with 1 tree too close to the barrier (and that one is almost connected to the barrier)

Can't see the shelter properly, but if the near end is almost touching the barrier, move it.

in addition, it may be, that a toy, like a ball or something, that is kicked or fights in the habitat can cause one animal to be kicked out of the habitat even across barriers.

Here is the weird thing if it was an actual issue with the habitat I should be seeing these "escapes" every single time I play that zoo... I don't, Saturday morning I played for a bit, went and did other things then restarted hours later. THEN I had problems all over the place, even some areas where I hadn't had problems, shut down.. restarted, and problems went away. All areas with the barriers that had issues had paths nearby whether it be regular or staff.

I had a weird escape right in front of me.
My pygmy hippo was on a bed of leaves, I also blended the traversable-area in, there is no way out of the habitat trough the wall,as rocks are also blocking it.

So what happened…it stand up…went up in the air and disappeared…
The escape-bell turned on…and I found a box on the top of my dome, right
above the last position.

Maybe worth to mention:
I did not have an escape issue recently...and this happend a few minutes after opening this long-time challenge-park as sandbox.
