Why is this 'invalid destination'?

Hi, I have this gator enclosure but the gators can't get in the water despite the traversable map showing that they should be able to. Also I can't move the animals into the water cause I get the 'invalid destination' error. My question is why is it invalid? There is a ramp the gators can use to get into the water and the water is shown as traversable. Around the entire enclosure there are paths and I used glass fences.

ok nevermind, apparently animals can never be moved manually in water. And after moving the ramp a tiny bit one of the gators got in the water so problem solved I guess.

Try to make the ramp a little less steep and double as broad. As far as I remember the gators need 8 meters minimum to use any path.

I don't know what the problem is, now they can get in the water but they never swim away from the edge and never dive. They also seem to hesitate to enter the water. I never had this before.
