Why no tutorial?

Hi,

I'm sure this has been addressed before and is perhaps already on your radar, but why isn't there a proper, scripted, in-game tutorial? Looking through the negative steam reviews, it seems to be one of the three biggest complaints (alongside management, and performance - not that i have issues with performance). I come from rct3 and have had this game since release, and I even sometimes find myself realising I don't quite know how to do something (although admittedly I'm not much of a builder). But I think I'd even benefit from one.

Cheers.

It amazes me how people manage to not understand a game like this. Imagine if they had to play 20 year old games this day and age without the help of internet. They would go insane.

What could a tutorial even teach you? I mean I can understand the need for a tutorial that explains how to make a realistic coaster, but not how to make a functioning coaster. So if anything a tutorial should be more like tips how to make stuff look good. Teach people the concepts of banking turns and g-forces. But that's about as difficult this game gets, right? There are plenty of tips in the top left about which button to click to do what. I cannot imagine this game holding your hand even more

I've always thought this game should have a proper tutorial in the form of a few scenarios that teaches you a variety of things with increasing complexity. It's how most games do it, just make it part of the gameplay. It's actually one of the few things I do think RCTW got right. It was just executed badly, but at least they have it in there.

I think a lot of people would benefit from getting a nice helping hand when they start off.

Maybe because other people might play this game for the first time and never played rct1-3 before. And normally it is not the customers task to search for a manual or a tutorial. (There are some videos marked as tutorial to be fair)
Though i think that is what people do. Watch let's play or videos from PC Influencer. But the wish itself is a proper one in my opinion.

Errr, the basics of the game, you silly berk? I'm sorry that you're such a wonderful expert at this game, but not everyone is, hence there's an entire subforum with 810 threads on here asking the question "How do I...?", as also mentioned, one of the biggest complaints on steam reviews is that there's no tutorial, people just flat out return the game, as, let's face it - the controls aren't intuitive unless you're used to these games.

Don't even notice the top left on my 34" UW, it's pretty much just in my peripheral.

There are some tutorials in the form of both Steam Guides as well as Youtube videos from memory - I uploaded a Steam Guide for example yesterday for the sequencers.
