General Why not.. move t3 orbital space ports.

As title sugests, when architect build t3 and as elite lore sugests t3 ports are capable of jumpimg from system to system. Why not exploit this feature game wise, why build bridges to certain system becuse of 15ly limit, why flod space with more less useless structures when ppl want to build their minibubles. Why haul with carriers rafinary products as we now have planet system influaced market. Add ability to jump ocelus and other t3 space ports from system on weekly basis for example. With tritium cost (as limiting factor and credit sink. What do you think FD about such idea? 500 ly jump range per station ;)

I can hear the servers begging and screaming for mercy at the very idea of this.

Yay for permanent one hour carrier jump times! \o/

Load the colony ship in the system you start the colony from. Add tritium to the construction cost based on the distance it needs to travel. If you want to be a troll make the travel take time and the colony fails if the colony ship doesn't arrive at the beacon system within 4 weeks travel time included. The further you go the more it costs to load and the less time you have to do the loading. Tritium is expensive so you can use that to make long range colonisation expensive if desired.

We don't need jumping t3 ports and I do believe their FSD module is removed once they're at destination and once deployed with rings they're no longer suitable to jump without being broken down.

Nah, it would be not that bad with week long jump timer and +/- 40-80k tritium cost per jump. Also u would have to make it un-movable unless system has one additional port space or planet. Make it more or less group of players thing and yes i know this playerbase would have aprox 20% of servers population doing this solo.

2-4 billion credits per jump. I hope that's a hell of a jump range. We can cross the galaxy with a fleet carrier you're talking 2-3 times that per jump. Any jump mechanic shouldn't cost more than 2 tritium per ly jumped and even that is very high.
