Why smugglers are getting ticked off.

I can't avoid interdictions in a Cobra Mk3. Do I need to Learn2Play too? Escape vectors insta-flip 180 degrees. Am I just a noob? I start 90%+ of interdictions facing perpendicular to the escape vector, directly into the "wall of the tunnel" and because of this the interdiction happens so fast that even if I throttle down instantly and try to point at the exit vector it's a crap shoot whether I'm going to be able to submit successfully or if I get insta-dicted and get the long cooldown. Guess I just suck at the game...

For all I care they can increase the level of difficulty by 10.
I NEVER try to avoid an interdiction.
Don't have the time/patience to play that silly minigame, I simply submit, assess the situation, kill target OR when swarmed, try to run.
Thusfar THE best tactic.

I DID notice something odd...
I can cruise all day around in space, UNTIL I have bonuses or something "valuable" on me, then I get spammed with interdictions.
Example, trutful happening: I am in Godknowswhatsystemsomewhereoutthere, 1 base, RES zones 900LS away.
Head to RES, 'slept' during travel (read: boredom rules), go in HazRES, kill baddies, canaopy blown to bits, leave, check for bounty amount which was slightly over 900K at the time, head for station, and the game begins: 1st interdiction, submit, enter normal space, run, engage SC, not even IN SC... I get me an interdiction...
Folks, my canopy?
Submit, enter normal space, engage SC, once in Super I had like 70LS nothing, before the next one threw me an interdict?
Needless to say, never made "drydock".

Seems to be a complete new coding, and.... I like it, but I want MORE interdictions even when nothing on me.
Come get me, pirates.

Just picked up a Fed Dropship rigged out with 96 cargo
.
Detecting a scan, I drop into silent running and boost away. Viper was a kilometer away, scan went through and I get fined for carrying illegal goods. Video below.
.
What makes people think that flying a LARGE ship and closing exhaust vents makes their ship invisible??????? then closing the exhaust vents and then Boosting wont give a heat signature?????
.
You are flying a big ship you can be seen, all silent running does is close the heat bvent and keeps internally generated heat INSIDE your ship if you boost you are firing EXTERNAL thrusters producing a heat bloom
.
People really need to understand properly how to smuggle

I guess that's how you track NPC's on your sensors when they use silent running... Oh right, they disappear. Maybe that's kinda, sort of the point here. :)

All this happy excuse-making for buggy teleporting NPCs that don't follow any of the sensible rules that PC craft do and are impossible to evade not because they're clever but because the script says they're suppose to catch you.

People are happy making excuses for everything. And somebody always will. Personally I will be majorly disappointed if .. this game-design equivalent of dookie doesn't get trimmed up to shape. We paid for this.

Seriously. If the NPCs in Assassins Creed teleported behind your back and shived you somebody would be praising the difficulty and advocating turning in circles as you walk as the skilled way to play.

Far to much "whataboutery" here

Just because you may feel the NPC's are doing something different does not excuse the fact that the OP's Smuggling tactics of using a BIG ship and then using boost when silent running are Flawed in the extreme

I see the Frontier Defense Force is full out in this thread! You apologists have to know this :):):):) is bugged since the last update. This isn't an issue about being difficult, it is broken. NPCs apparently do not have to follow the same rules we do. Interdictions are do borked your only option is to throttle down and as OP stated even that bugs out at times making you wait the full cool down. Entering into real space and having an NPC instantly next to you when they were many light seconds away happens almost every time. All this needs to be fixed.

The OP's choices are irrelevant to the actual point.

NPC behavior is buggy, broken, nonsensical and cheating. The tactics people are forced to adopt to deal with the cheating npcs amount to tricking bad and exceptionally predictable scripting.

"Turn your butt to the sun so the instaspawns bug out." - really now?

What on earth has "turning your butt to the sun" got to do with poor choices of ship and tactics by the OP while attempting to smuggle

.
Apart from proving my point about Whataboutery

Now that's just deliberately misinterpreting what I said and missing the point on purpose.

Turn yer butt to the sun to bug out the NPCs.
Log out if you get a tail in your destination system to lose them.

Those are both bits of advice I've heard and they tell me this stuff is BROKEN.
