Horizons Why the insane acceleration on turret controls?

I can't really control my turret right with KB+M on the PC. Be it SRV or Gunner Role in Multicrew, the accelaration on the looking is destroying my aim, and I have yet to find a way to disable it. Is there one? If not, why? In a game with so many control options, this should definitely be somewhere.
 
I agree, as i was a gunner in RL loooong time ago...
To say this ; there were 2 sorts of turrets, a electrical-one like the one in our SRV, that was very good and could turn fast but also turn slowly. These are the best-ones, then there were the hydraulic-ones, fast turning and more difficult to put on the spot you wanted.
There were also hand-turned turrets in the past, and every modern turret can still be hand-turned in case of failure.
Conclusion, the SRV turret feels like a hydraulic one.
There is also no telescoping sight on the turret, and the guns do not shoot far @ all, that while we with our 7.62 coax could reach 1000m...go figure !

Haha, well, I've been a gunner in ArmA 3 :D

Turrets in E: D lack a lot of functionality. IR, Night vision etc. Zoom, firemodes, kinda seems like SRVs are made for children to practice target shooting. Can't be the only ground vehicles there are, I'd love to actually deploy a Tank, Skimmer or actual APC.

Staying on topic, I made this thread more for sake of game functionality, though. Realism is fine with me, but gameplay comes first, and right now the Gunner and Turret controls are more of an artificial barrier. More options would really be awesome.
 
I have to agree with this - even with a full HOTAS set up if there was a way to temper the degrees of control vs turret movement it would be helpful for precision aiming.
