Why won't connector limpets launch
Tried 72526262526 buttons and 362652826 fire groups and combat mode and analysis mode but they just sit there eating cargo space. Just mind 7262625267265262 find of panite and it all disappeared whilst I'm in around with the controls?

Why so many collector limpet controllers? A controller can control multiple limpets (how many depends on module class). You understand that after installing a limpet controller you need to buy limpets separately (in the rearm menu, and they use cargo space) so the controller can program and launch them?

Also putting multicannons and abrasion blasters in the same fire group wastes ammo since they have very different functions.

When mining you need many collector limpets to keep up with your mining lasers. On average large miner ship we use 9 to 12 limpets at the time, largest limpet controller (class 7) only runs 4 limpets at the time and class 5 only 3. That's why minig ships always using multiple limpet controllers.

I guess I'm not in a hurry when I'm mining. :)

As a hint - bind them to the same button as the mining laser and then they always get produced when you need them without having to think about it, and then you have 2nd fire for your prospector

{edit:} I realise that OP has abrasion blasters and is core/surface mining painite.. advice above is for traditional laser mining, which is probably faster than core mining paininte. I hope he has Seismic charge launcher too, or else he'll be reduced to scraping surface deposits only..

If the limpets don't deploy,
1. you have no limpets
2. your weapons capacitor is empty
3. the limpet controller is switched off
4. a limpet is jammed in the system somewhere (bug happens sometimes when you synthesise 4 limpets, but have less that 4 units of cargo capacity. Solved by abandoning a limpet or more.)

If the limpets deploy but don't collect
1. the cargo hatch is not switched on
2. the cargo scoop is not open
3. the refinery is switched off or missing
4. the refinery is full, or each bin has fragments in, so no room for a new type.

I think we all know that OP forgot to stock up with limpets before setting off on his mining trip.

Thanks, you've made me feel really stupid after well over 1000 hours of mining!
I have to add though, that it doesn't always work. I was playing on an older but adequate PC over Xmas using the slider on the X52 throttle to operate the collector limpets. If I left the slider in the on position, the mining lasers went intermittent, like I didn't have enough power for both ,even though my capacitor was full. It must have been a hardware issue of some sort because I never experienced anything like that on my normal PC.
