Why won't FD respond to requests for space whales in game?

People want it. Why not give some kind of official response? The empire can make them to decorate systems; artificial space whale and whale supporting ecosystem.

I would love to fly through an empire system to see their display of space whales and supporting eco system. It serves no practical purpose, but it sure is purdy to look at!

What if they were locked behind permit systems? It'll give you a reason to unlock/visit them. :-D

Shinrarta Deshzra needs space whales. It's not just a good thing to have, its a must!

Perhaps for the same reason they have not responded to countless other requests.
FDev virtually never talks about stuff that is not on their immediate agenda and even then they are very careful not to over-promise.

I do think it might be a bit premature for FDev to be concerned by this kind of stuff.

I would love to encounter some kind of creature living in the cold of space of course, but not just space.
I dream of entering atmospheres of beautiful, lush planets, seeing rivers, lakes and seas down below, flying through the clouds, seeing huge herds of unknown creatures roaming the landscape, or perhaps the shadow of something awesome and unimaginable moving just below the surface of the sea.

Have you not encountered and shot at a Cyclops yet? They sound exactly like a harpooned whale in space. In fact that why I stopped attacking them, because it felt like I was being a dirty space whaler.

Tldr: ED already has space whales.
