Wierd Guest Comments

My franchise mode zoo is still fairly small, only 4 enclosures, but guest numbers keep climbing and I am making money faster that I can spend it. The strange thing is the guests comment that entrance fees are underpriced. So I raise the ticket prices and they are happy for a little while then they want them even higher and over and over again. I have ticket prices right now about $30 adult and $20 child. If this was a real zoo I wouldn't pay that much myself. I'm at the point now that I wish they would request free admission for a while. :D

What animals do you have so far? Might be that you invested in some high interest animals. Or you just have some really generous guests. Mine occasionally complain that its too low, but I can only up it by like 1 or 2 dollars before they are complaining its too high.

Free admission would be fun. The Cape May Zoo in New Jersey is free admission (you are encouraged to make a donation upon entry but its not a fixed amount. You basically just put whatever amount you want in to a bucket). Was always my favorite place as a kid.

Yeah this all depends on what animals you have, or probably better to say the overall cumulative appeal of the zoo I think. My zoo went through a rough patch early on where the animals were costing me more than the guests were donating, so I started removing animals and even whole habitats, and the guests started complaining prices were too high so I had to lower them. Then once I got things running better and more importantly brought in a new higher appeal animal, I was able to raise them.

To be clear though it isn't really the guests saying "Please sir, may I pay some more?". Its more like your CFO saying "Hey our guests are commenting that they think our ticket price is great so maybe we can nickle and dime them some more.,. you know keep raising prices until they complain!"

Right now all I have are Bengal tigers (the biggest attraction), Galapagos tortoise, Baird's Tapir and flamingo. I had some peafowl for a while but got rid off them because they required so much of mine and the staff's attention. I've been playing with some habitat design ideas for various animals but it is not connected to guest paths right now.
