Wild animals could visit the zoos

I would like to see local wild animals visit the zoos. For example, a small flock of ducks could paddle about the water area of a Hippo enclosure. Gulls and pigeons could land on overflowing trash bins. Here in Florida we see Ibis and Egrets and Pelicans frequently stopping in to visit an animal enclosure.

(hmm all my examples are birds; I'm trying to think of other animals that might visit...)

Squirrels. The little bushy-tailed rats. I can hear them, mocking me. Someday, revenge will be mine! But seriously, squirrels are definitely common in many places. Crows, pigeons, and mallard ducks are found all over the world, and there are also things like ibis, magpies, blackbirds, mockingbirds, and egrets, which are common in some areas, but not in others. Then for non-birds there are actual rats, but they're generally associated with bad sanitation and disease, so most people wouldn't want them in their zoos, or maybe lizards, while the type of lizard varies from place to place, lizards of form can be found nearly anywhere.

I love this idea! I remember you'd get ducks swimming around in the original RCT and it was always a joy to see them. I've seen lots of chipmunks running around one of my local zoos and it would be cute to see this happen in the game too.

place them as special effects
Yes, I agree. I would be happy with just 'decorative' animations and not something for the player to control. Perhaps if you click them they quack or scurry away.

😂 Ok, how about raccoons that run back and forth along the tops of the habitat perimeter walls, at night.

And I wouldn't want these things to happen all of the time, just occasionally. A little unexpected flair.

Not trying to hijack, just wanted to link this since they're incredibly similar concepts! :D

Wild animals visiting zoos would be great! But it might be more feasible to place them as special effects, rather than scripted animals in there own right.
I think this would be a good Solution. We could get Squirrels, Hedgehogs and Pigeons for European Zoos, Green Iguanas and Macaws for South American Zoos, Oxpeckers for Africa.....
And we could still place the ones that don't live in that Region in their own Enclosures in our Zoos (also we would be finally able to create a big Iguana Terrarium 😃)
Also some European Zoos do have White Storks but they aren't really Part of the Zoo. They just have their Nest there and can fly away whenever they want (but of course for these a special Effect wouldn't be the best Solution)

This Topic reminded me of that Zoo (I think it was in India) where a wild Tiger somehow came into the Zoo. He seemed to be interested in their female Tiger, so they let him in. But I'm currently not sure if they did breed or not

Wouldn't that be something? "Your (bachelor herd animal) is about to mate" ...Excuse me what??? This isn't Jurassic Park!

Would be a nice idea. Maybe a continent unique thing in Franchise/Challenge

I found a Article about it https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-22363552
It can happen with some Animals (for example the Komodo Dragon) (but it can't happen to Mammals) but it's a rare Occurrence. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parthenogenesis

I know it happens in some animals, I just thought it would be funny if it was a mammal it shouldn't be happening to. A herd of bison for example, or your tiger. You know, you're "wait what?", check the habitat and there's randomly another animal you have no idea where it came from but it got everyone pregnant. Would be hilarious. ...And handy. :D Lol

But hopefully only in a Area where the Animal lives. I want no wild Gorilla jumping into the Enclosure and fighting the Silverback in my German Zoo 😆
