Will a Horizons SRV fit in my current 1.4 Asp

Does anyone actually know when Horizons is released what ships will be able to load SRV's?

I have an Asp that I currently use for exploring and I want to know if I will be able to buy a SRV and use it with my current Asp.

I am thinking about buying some paint jobs this weekend for my Cobra, Asp, Vulture and T9.

I do not want to buy one for the Asp if I will not be able to use it with a SRV since if that is the case I will get rid of the Asp and buy something else to explore with that can handle an SRV.

it fits in mine so you should get an idea if it will fit yours ;=)

You'll just need to equip a vehicle module and buy an SRV bay:

The exact figures aren't finalised yet, but we're looking at around 25,000 credits for the basic module. The module can have one of more slots and each slot can hold one vehicle bay, you buy the bay (which includes an SRV) for 5,000 credits (TBD). If the SRV is destroyed then you need to buy a replacement and bigger modules can have more than one slot.

I hope that there's enough clearance already with the ASP landing gear. It would be a shame if it loses some of its squat look when parked.

Based on the video of David Braben flying a Vulture down there, I don't think you'll have a problem. The scale of the ships only really becomes apparent when you're right below one on the surface.

The SRV retracts its turret when you go underneath your ship to give you greater clearance.

Yeah, saw that comment. The Vulture did look like it's gear has been heightened. That's what I hope the ASP is tall enough to avoid.

Obviously, in the scheme of things it would really be the most minor quibble!

(but rising up like Thunderbird 2 would clearly be the ultimate option!)
