Will beta 2 be released just after the EGX London on September 28?

They let members of the public "get hands on with Elite: Dangerous" at every event. PAX, Gamescom, E3, you name it.
unless FD mean they get to play the gamma RC1
I hope so! I just figured FD considered it their first big show because "EGX is the UK's biggest consumer games show".
As I've understood it FD haven't had a presence on the "show floor" in the previous events they have attended. Instead they have been in separate rooms/areas off the beaten track and more focused on getting press there.
Based on the fact that they now are looking for 10 members of the community to come and help out I'm guessing this will be the first time they will be on the floor among the public.
A little play with words maybe, but hey...

Man, I was hoping for beta 2 in the next few days, not nearly a month from now. I hope that would be gamma at the end of September.

If I had the funds I'd book the time off, fly back from the States and beg my ex-wife to let me crash on her couch to be in London for this I might even sign up to be considered as an Ambassador! Sadly, short notice transatlantic flight prices and the fact that the expo pretty much coincides with a major software release at the office make it a non-starter.

that doesn't make any sense. Gemma was slated for September and not SB2.0 which if so its probably pretty big
Options, release beta 2 before show for testing, goto show with beta 1, or take a chance with beta 2. Release beta 2 after show.

I personally would release Beta 2 just before the show and have something new to talk about in the press releases.
I was also hoping it would be sooner rather than later, start of October preferably with a gamma release mid November.

I think it might be before that as they'll want to make sure it is all working okay.
Plus, they'll probably release Beta 2.0 whilst I'm working away...

that wouldnt make any sense to release a beta 2.0 on that day. Gamma would make more sense. Also might i throw in there Monday is the 1st and on the 30th is on a Tuesday which gives enough time to update 2x. Call it speculation, but that makes more sense then having a beta come out THAT far away
Gemma Atherton is hot! But that's kinda off subject. Since we are speculating I expect next beta release soon. I think gamma in a month unrealistic. And expecting releases to coincide with media events is IMO silly. Release new content when its ready.
