Will ED be PC only?

At present it takes a high end PC with Titan card to just about do more than what a PS4 does with the latest games. Comparing BF4 performance certainly.QUOTE]

Thing is tough a PS4 is only running BF4 at what would be medium settings on a PC and it is only running it @720p upscaled to 1080p.

Where as a high end PC with a titan would be running it fully maxed out @1080p with much higher FPS than the PS4.

Afaik no, BS4 runs 1600x900 on PS4, and is upscaled to 1080p. XBox One have 720p version.

Nothing on the PS4 is native 720p. In the early days there maybe some 900p native upscaled to 1080p, but only because of the short time developers have had in the rush to release launch games.
If ED was done on the PS4 I would expect and demand it was 1920x1080 native pixels. And 60fps. Without a named release date they have the time to dedicate to hardware.

Fact that FD has experience with consoles already and they know their engine inside out - I think they could deliver that.

But so far it is speculation yeaaaaaars ahead (well at least 1 - 2 years :)). Let's get first release across finish line first :)

I may be wrong as I don't follow the Mac platform, but isn't the usual video card in a Mac on the low end. Not a gaming video card by any stretch of the imagination. If so, and as they cost a hefty premium will it be able to play Elite Dangerous at any decent video quality, without a substantial investment for a better video card? I know some will need to upgrade their cards on a PC as well. Just curious if a Mac usually comes with a PCI-E expansion slot, talking desktop of course.
