Will FD do anything now?

Today a group (3 FDL's) infiltrated Mobius and it was more than obvious what their intent was. Several Cmdrs where again caught off guard and destroyed, a few with valuable exploration data that may never be replaced and took many hours to collect.

So FD what is your response this time?

Well , ban them if they do it again.

Remeber that Mobius is not official , nor is it part of the main games.
Its up to the Mobius team to deal with that.

However I do belive FD plan on doing something to users who go out of there way and attack users in this type of setting. but it is important to note that private group are just big friend lists and that PvE servers are not official

Private group used to emulate PvE-Mode = using a system for what it was not designed.

Still it is bitter practice to abuse the invitation to just wreak havoc.

200% sure it will be same as last time, nothing. Dont think they even care to be honest. but thats why we have solo :)
What a shame that they would allow a few <cucumbers> ruin it for those who have chosen to avoid that type of play.

This is not the first time. Maybe for these particular individuals but not for the group they claim to be part of.

I don't want to hear one player complain about the Open PVE mode whenever it hits. If people keep acting like this...there will be little choice for FDev to do but create one.

Unfortunately Möbius will always be a sitting target for this kind of behaviour. Not because of who runs it, or what its ethics are: just because, it's there.

The bored, I can do as I like people of this world, will contain a few; that just have to go, too far.

Logically, a few accounts, will be closed and if we are lucky, some IP address, locked out.

I guess FD could do what GTA does, allow players to go into a safe mode immune from other players fire. GTAV goes as far as allowing that in Open/Private, not a good idea for ED in Open, but in private it could work. Make it an option for the groups admin.

What we Mobians should NOT do is to create such threads.
This is exactly what they (griefers) want - to see us moaning. We should just report them to Mobius admins to ban them. That what we did in CG thread - no moaning. There is a problem, we're discussing on how to solve it fast so we can play the game.

Is it so difficult to turn off the router when you're interdicted by griefers? I mean, I get that they've been taken by surprise but come on.

Turning off their router could get them legitimately shadowbanned. I promise you the greifers would report the players for combat logging....just to increase the grief!

Combat logging is against the rules. murder is not.
Even within mobius , following mobiuses rules is a code of honnor not actualy a real EULA or anything like that.

Its like if I made a pink paintjob only group , if users came in with red ships it would be against my rules but not FD , so it would be up to me to ''fix'' it.

Greifing is when you go out of your way to cause harm , so indeed there guys in mobius were greifers... but combat logging? that is just wrong.

I disagree. You guys need to let the community know that you are being continuously griefed. Hiding the activities will not fix the problem...just cover it up.

I don't think it's FD's job to see if players follow the rules of your private group.

I was going to say exactly this but Akselmo got there first.

Each group's rules are self imposed and their problem only.

That being said, its unfortunate that some bunch of morons just cannot stop themselves from messing with other people for some "lolz". Its in their nature. D-bags will be d-bags, now and forever.

Again a strong argument can be made for harassment which violates th TOS. Question is doe FD want to send a clear message or sit on the sidelines again.

I doubt very much that is the case.. the harassment bit is against individuals and doesn't relate to being killed in game afaik..

But if this happened in open , it would not be an issue sins killing is whithin the rules of the game.
Not saying its good nor bad

a) Yes - it breaks the rules
b) Yes - even if it didn't, the router is not in the same room that I play in and even if it was, it is shared with the rest of the family
c) Yes - three/four hits (multiple weapons) from full shields to canopy breached, "eject" when in normal space having just launched from the station and inside the no fire zone/mass locked - really wasn't ready for that ...

But mostly a
