Will Fences fall apart?

Will Fences automatically fall apart after some Time? I hate it when I have a big Park and after a few Months all Fences are damaged for no reason.

I hope that it is not time consuming if fences need repairing.

That would not be cool.

Do fences need maintenance?

I believe they should, and an employee would fix them, like mechanics fix benches in PlanCo. But at the same time, I think they won’t because fences can be covered by terrain and scenery and an employee couldn’t reach that area. Unless the employee just fixes them at a gate, regardless where it’s broken.

It wouldn't be bad if that would happen, but I don't want it to be like the Fences in other Zoo-Simulation-Games that fall apart after a few weeks or Months. I think it would be better if the Fences would fall apart after a Year instead of a few Months and not all Fences after the same Time

Different types of fences have different durability. Equate it to ride breakdowns in PlanCo. Some rides very rarely breakdown, some often. Similar mechanic could be applied. Including having the fences regularly checked as preventive maintenance. Management!

What I meant with all falling apart at the same Time is that there is a Exhibit and one Piece of the Fence is damaged after 5 hours and a Piece of Fence that was build 5 Seconds later is damaged 5 Seconds after the first Piece for example.

I would really love it. In every Zoo-Simulation I've played, the Fences were only repaired after being damaged.

I think it looks kind of cool when older fences and paths, especially concrete ones, begin to age and crack. It gives you warning that they need repair, but are still functional enough to hold the animals or walking guests while you repair them.

If they end up making the fences and paths wear over time, I hope it would be an option that you could disable. Due to the fact that it could get pretty annoying to have a big park and have to constantly have to repair the fences and paths.

It’s a management game. You hire staff to do it for you. Just like in PlanCo with broken benches and trash cans.

In Planco you could instantly repair all broken stuff for a x amount of money in the Park Management screen.
So I bet this would be a option, if fences would wear.

Some of the streams are showing fences do “break”. I’ve only seen the streamers manually fixing them. I’ve not seen indication that staff would fix them, or settings to have staff regularly maintain them to prevent “breakage”. That’s logical to me, but, I’m not a developer. :ROFLMAO:

While the fences do have a meter to determine the damage its taken, hopefully its due to animals being unhappy and attempting to destroy it, rather than it just wearing over time.

The staff really didn't do much in the demo. I don't know if its just because they were all out of energy, or if they only go to certain exhibits if a staff hut in nearby, but none of them actually seemed to do their jobs. For example, someone would order a zoo keeper or vet to an exhibit, and they wouldn't show up.

Fences do require repair. I saw it as an option during Frontier's Gamescom Demo. I don't have photo proof, because I'm too lazy to import it, but I saw it when they were finishing the ostrich habitat. Or I could have been delusional and saw something else or something similar, though I still could be right.

P.S. I didn't read through the entire thread so I don't know if anyone else cleared this up yet.

Edit: I just realized I went almost completely of topic.😂 You guys were talking about the fences wearing out on its own😂 how silly of me....
