PvP Will getting into PvP put me on the radar as a PvPer and make my anonymity go away?

I’m a lone wolf and not the most social of commanders, and the commanders who follow me around and treat comms like a chat room are kind of exhausting. I wouldn’t mind getting some PvP practice in (and I have engaged in PvP a bit, though I’ve never interdicted another commander). But I don’t want to go on anyone’s radar or end up on YouTube videos, and I’m certainly not interested in winging up with anyone and attacking every hollow radar reticule in Deciat. If I value my anonymity, would getting into PvP (for the combat practice) just put me on the radar and make my anonymity go away?

If you are lawful, we want you, and we are willing to train with you. We don't spam chat, we use discord for chat and voice. Please check out our thread in Squadrons section, we've had phenomenal success and growth and have a really great group of players at this point... Hope to see you at hq...

I have found that my loud and outspoken mouth on the interwebs has turned me into a target lately but before that I could PvP all day with no issues. I started talking crap on facebook to some faction leaders and now they all want my head. I must say that I am personally loving it but if that kind of thing is not for you than don't go on social and especially don't drop your GT.

Get a Viper3. Best starter combat ship and still fairly competative (for is size) even against mediums and the occasional badly built big boi.

https://s.orbis.zone/1zye < Thats what I use for Pvp, it's difficult, but my god is it fun, weapons are up to you. (Yes it has no shields but thats largely irrelevant when your speed barely ever drops below 650.)

Thats a very specialised build I would not recommend for beginners. No shields, lightweighted sensors, livesupport and armour. Undersized and lighweighted HRPS, one chaff. Yeah, you got speed. But thats pretty much the only asset available. A beginner will be toast in seconds vs packhounds/seekers and gimballed weaponry. No offense, Turnip, just sayin´...

I´d go for a bit more versatile build. I personally am flying this:

Its a bit more balanced and beginner friendly. Although nothing to gain notoriety with.
(unless your name is Cillit Bang or Na´Quaan :))

The more you get into PvP, the more other PvPers will recognise you. As long as you're a good sport about it, you'll eventually end up on everyone's friends lists (helpful for spontaneous wing fights, instancing, and the like).
How does one deal with spontaneous wing fights, or even a spontaneous urge to find a dual and test out a weapon setup, when PvP ships often have poor jump ranges and almost always don’t have a fuel scoop? Fast traveling can be painful: jump range is often lousy and even if I fit a fuel scoop to get from A to B, ships built for pure combat usually get pretty hot whilst fuel scooping. I fitted a 2A fuel scoop on my ship to make a short trip, and YUCK: it was boring, and toasty (another option is finding a station every couple of jumps and refueling, but that sounds tedious too). Do I just gotta travel in economical mode?

Depends on pvp setup, arranged duels in CG, San Tu or shinrata are pure pvp ships with often dowsnized FSD and no scoop, or not so arranged ganks:) but spontanous pvp around engineers locations or power play hotspots are normal combat ships you take for CZ or RES. Couse of bad scooping and jump FDL is my least favorite pvp ship, its borderline useless for anything but arranged duels IMO.
