Newcomer / Intro Will I Be Attacked By Other Online Players

If it worries you then feel free to play in solo (you are still in the same galaxy) or head for the Groups forum where you can join a PvE only group where there is a code of conduct NOT to attack other players.
In open, as others have mentioned, you may or may not be attacked, it's part of the game, sweaty palms and all.

You can be attacked by other players, yes. In a system with a government (non-anarchy), doing so will create a fine and set their criminal status to "wanted". Once that happens, they can be attacked by anyone that's scanned them (so that they are known to be wanted) without fear of recourse.
Most people you see will just be going about their business.
Those that attack you will almost certainly have to interdict you first (drop you out of supercruise). There's a minigame that you can try and win (fly towards the escape vector) that will evade interdiction and give you a decent window of time before they can try again.
Can't be stated enough, however: If you are in an anarchy sysyem, they can shoot you as you leave a station and nobody will bat an eyelid. There is a no-fire zone around a spacestation, but you need to leave that before you can jump out of the system.

Thats a funny question. It depends on the other players. If you meet a pirate or bounty hunter (if you have bounty on your head) then it might be possible that you get into some trouble.
But I think that the NPCs are more after you. Try to avoid Anarchy Systems at the beginning of your career and do not enter Unidentified Signal Sources until you have some good weapons on your ship.
Later you can try all these more periculous things.

I haven't been attacked by any, i've seen a few but generally you'll be griefed by the NPCs more than real humans(space is big etc). The closest i came to having a fight with a real person was an interdiction, which sucked for him as i had no cargo.
