Will I lose my Claims if I upgrade my ship?

I've racked up 100k's of Alliance bounty claims in my Viper. Sadly the nearest Alliance system requires a 20ly jump.

If I upgrade to make the jumps (can always sell the new ship on my return) will I lose the Claims?

No, they will be transferred to your new ship. I still have claims to make in the Alliance and I've since bought a Type 6 which I certainly didn't do any bounty hunting in :)

like others have said no , you can even change ship and take all contracts with you.
see it as "paperwork" goes with the person not with the ship.

who knows maybe later on we have to cue up in the space stations to get your bounty claims.
