Been there, done that, Frontier and the backers made their decision...
AAAAAW come on! I'm french and even I got that one

That's what has been said in every thread about online mode. I have yet to encounter any pvp and for those who use it as and excuse just makes them look dumb.OT, but just a thought: you know there's actually a reason why so many traders/non combattant players act like this: they were attacked too many times, and just don't trust anyone anymore. But STILL want to experience open multiplayer.
I met many traders onboard Type6, Type7 and even Hauler who just didn't act as you described. We say hello to each others, if inclined to go on with the dialogue we do, and that's it. Then one day, they'll meet some trigger happy fellow, whose first action will be to spam the interdiction hammer and feast on their defenseless ship just because hey, it's multiplayer. The victim learn the lesson, and log off every single time a PC fighting ship shows on radar. They don't want to avoid everyone, they just want to avoid the gun crazies.
Right now, your typical trading ship, no matter its class, is a sitting duck in front of even a stock eagle piloted by Nooby Mc Firstday. Almost defensless, and moving in slow-mo. What are they supposed to do? Waiting to be gunned down for the sake of other people fun in MP?
But don't worry, things will balance right after some time. Mainly because trading brings much more bucks than playing pirate, and when all those traders will make their daily routine in fully equipped Pythons, you won't see them log off too much anymore![]()

It's damaging to the game when you can bypass any encounter to do trade missions in the safety of your own lonesomeness and it still effects how online play works. When you can change the outcome of a systems status just bypassing anyone online because you play in solo mode without any fear but this does not have to do with pvp. it's just the cowardice act of using "griefing" as an excuse to run away from an online player. It's not about the pvp, it's about how solo mode still interacts and can change how open mode works.after your post today i would not take anything you say at face value and would not play a game with you if you was the last person on this planet
but you counter what you say if you see no one why do you care what mode play in and what they do in said modes

Your reading skills are truly atrocious as you cannot simply comprehend a single word that has been mentioned about the subject. It's ok, I don't expect little kids to understand adult speak. Go scurry off now child. It's time for the adults to talk.because the little ppl can go play solo or PG and come back as the big ppl and he cant pick on the big dog ships![]()

Because I can be affecting the system you're trying to influence and there's nothing you can do about it.
Again, you keep dancing around the subject sticking your fingers in your ears without having any actual argument to the matter. All you've done is troll about the subject. The only ones its damaging to is the griefers and the pew pew crowd that thought they were buying Call of Duty: Space Ops or Eve 2, and quite frankly, the sooner that group realizes this game isnt going to pander to them and goes back to their previous shooter of choice the better off the game and the whole community will be.

First off, Frontier has made zero mention on what type of game this is. You assume they made this game for you only. Again, you can sit there insult me all day knowing you have the mods to back you up but that won't sway me. You call it crying when I say this model is bad?? You sound butthurt that someone is actually standing up and making a push against that matter. All you do is insult people call them little babies who want to go "pew pew pew" when in reality you are very off base. The subject has very little to do with pvp but I wouldn't expect someone with little intellect to understand that.I think the part you are missing is there is no subject to dance around. Frontier and the backers made their decision. This is what the company wanted, this is what the financial backers wanted. Its over and done with. What you think about it is fairly irrelevant. You can accept it for what it is and play the game, or you can decide you can't accept it for what it is and go away. I guess if you really want to you can decide you can't accept it for what it is and waste your time crying about it, but that seems like a really stupid choice and I can't imagine why any reasonable person would take that last option.
That's not specific to solo/private. Nor, IMO, a Bad Thing.
