Hi All, I'm lucky to be one of the alpha backers' and was wondering if Odyssey will still be a free DLC for Alpha/Beta backers?

If you bought the Lifetime expansion pass (LEP) way back (before ED released I believe) then Odyssey will be free.
If you didn't buy the LEP then you will have to pay for Odyssey.
I'm not an LEP owner so I'm not sure how you'd check if you have it.

Yes, I purchased the LEP way back. I will have to find out how to check though, way back you would just log into your account and check your DLC products but I think they have updated the way your online account works.

Yes just logged in using my original email address and password into the Frontier store (https://www.frontierstore.net/downloadable/customer/products/) and I can see my DLCs' and LEP purchase.

My Free Epic alt pilot is holding out for when Odyssey is issued free to all players

Epic players can potentially also enjoy Odyssey for free circa 2025, if Frontier have future plans to create additional expansions...

As mentioned, if you pledged £80 or more during the KS then you have an LEP and therefore will get Odyssey for "free".
AFAIK, Premium Beta was £100.

How would you propose to download an LEP?
Check your 'Orders' page. It will be listed as '1 x Elite Dangerous Expansion Pass'
Mine doesn't as well.
It doesn't show Horizons either but that worked ok.
When it's released it will happen.
I can't remember exactly how much the base game and Horizons was, but the LEP hasn't paid for itself yet. Maybe it will if there's an expansion after Odyssey.
It depends on how much value you put on those initial alpha/betas and early access for Kickstarters that got the LEP and the betas that normal LEPers got.
As a Kickstarter backer and LEPer I got all I wanted when ED was released. Everything else is a bonus.
LEP was £35 as part of the KS, and just after on the Paypal pledge site that FD hosted.
Horizons was £20. Odyssey they're actually thinking they'll sell it for £40.
I think they may have sold the LEP for a bit more afterwards in the limited time they offered it. But if you backed it through Kickstarter, the LEP has paid for itself once Odyssey is released.
